Meet the Team at Mousam River Dentistry

Dr. Jim Cormier

A native of Maine, Dr. Cormier is thrilled to be providing the highest level of care for patients in Kennebunk and neighboring communities. At a young age, he knew he wanted to be a dentist. He loved working with his hands, was passionate about studying medicine, and thrived when helping people.

Dr. Cormier attended the University of New England (UNE), where he received his Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology. Upon graduating, he became quite the accomplished researcher working for UNE and a startup biotech company, focusing on pain management and drug discovery. Dr. Cormier published several articles containing essential research findings on chronic pain and ways to manage it. He has found his research background has served him well in helping patients to manage their own pain by providing them with the latest advances in medicine.

After working several years in the research field, Dr. Cormier enrolled in UNE’s Dental school and graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. During his time at UNE, he did a rotation at Goodwin Community Health, treating low-income patients. Dr. Cormier is humbled to have been the recipient of several scholarships for his clinical skills, public service, and academic performance.

With his background in pain management, Dr. Cormier takes proper steps in managing the comfort of each of his patients throughout their care at Mousam River Dentistry. Dr. Cormier emphasizes preventative care and his patients take an active role in developing a comprehensive, personalized approach to promote overall health. Dr. Cormier is always accepting new patients and we do our best to see same day emergencies. We look forward to welcoming your family to our dental home.

Away from work

Dr. Cormier’s patients are his top priority, but when he’s not at the office, you can find him enjoying all that Maine has to offer in the great outdoors. Dr. Cormier is married to his wife Krissy where they reside in Saco with their daughters, Hannah and Amelia, and their black lab, Denali. Together, they enjoy hiking, skiing, and playing pickleball.

Dr. Michael Truscott

Dr. Truscott is a native son of Kennebunk, “the only village in the world so named”. He attended Kennebunk High School, the University of Maine at Orono, and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Truscott enjoyed the first stage of his career on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, operating his private practice while raising a family. When the last of his three children fled the nest, he and his wife, Margo, also a native of Kennebunk, moved back to their home state. The second leg of Dr. Truscott’s career was spent teaching clinical dentistry at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine where he met Dr. Cormier. He made a lasting impression upon Dr. Truscott because of his commitment to patient care, his clinical skills, and unquestioned integrity.

When the opportunity presented itself, Dr. Truscott welcomed the chance to join Mousam River Dentistry. Dr. Cormier’s practice was the only one that he would have considered for the third leg of his career.

Dr. Noah Frost

Dr. Frost was born and raised in Bangor, Maine, and is thrilled to be working in his home state as part of the great team at Mousam River Dentistry.

Dr. Frost attended Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Geography. While at BYU he played on the school’s club hockey team. Upon graduating, he worked in a dental lab as he applied to dental school. During that time, he developed an understanding of how to provide quality dental care to patients.

After graduating from BYU, Dr. Frost returned home to attend dental school at The University of New England (UNE) and graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. During his time at UNE, he completed an externship at Jessie Albert Dental and Orthodontic Center, serving low-income patients. Dr. Frost received the 2025 Community-Based Education Award for his service and commitment to the Community-Based Education system at UNE.

Dr. Frost strives to provide a positive experience and quality care for his patients. He wants everyone to feel comfortable going to the dentist and strives to provide the optimal patient experience.

Away from Work

Dr. Frost is married to his wife Kimberlee and has two daughters (Grace and Clara) and one son (Levi). Together they enjoy the outdoors, hiking, playing at the park, the beach, and going on family walks. He is also a true New England sports fan and follows the Boston Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox.

Lori

Scheduling Coordinator / Patient Relations

Lori has worked in the dental field since 2008.  She is a true native of Maine and enjoys all that our state has to offer.

Lori is one of the first faces you will see when visiting our office.  She is quite versatile and
is dedicated to running the office efficiently. She enjoys welcoming our patients and educating them regarding the need for quality dental care and oral health.

Lori resides in Kennebunk with her husband, Joe.  In her free time, she enjoys photography, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Laurie

Financial Coordinator

Laurie has a combined 20+ years in the medical and dental fields. She oversees the submission of all dental insurance claims, payments and billing. Laurie’s favorite part about working at Mousam River Dentistry is talking with our patients, scheduling appointments and helping them to better understand their recommended care and insurance coverage.

In Laurie's spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, music, trying new restaurants and road trips.

Sydney

Treatment Coordinator / Insurance Coordinator

Sydney, born and raised in Southern Maine, graduated with an Associates Degree in Health Studies in 2017. She has 10 years of experience in the dental field, working across various specialties, including Surgical Assisting, Director of Continuing Education, and Practice Administration.

As a Treatment Coordinator, Sydney builds relationships with patients and guides them toward optimal dental health.

She currently resides in Lyman with her fiancé, Tyler, and their identical twin daughters, Rachel and McKenna. Outside of the dental office, she works for their landscaping company. An avid outdoorswoman, Sydney enjoys hunting and fishing, is active in equestrian activities, and loves reading in her downtime.

Jackie

Registered Dental Hygienist

Jackie has over 23 years of experience as a dental hygienist and has been with Mousam River Dentistry since 2019. Jackie graduated, cum laude, from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2001. She is originally from Northern Nevada but has called Maine home since 2003. Jackie enjoys being a dental hygienist because she likes being able to help people achieve excellent oral health through education, in-office care, and proper home care. One of the things she enjoys most about her job is getting to know her patients and building rapport over the years.

Jackie lives with her husband, son, daughter, dog and cat. She spends time taking her kids to their various sports and activities. She enjoys the beach, kayaking, and taking nature walks.

Kelsey

Registered Dental Hygienist

Kelsey has 10 years of experience in the dental field. She graduated from Mount Ida College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and acquired her local anesthesia license during her studies. After graduating she spent 5 years practicing hygiene in the greater Boston area. Kelsey decided to return to Maine where she grew up and is happy to be part of the Mousam River Dentistry team in our new facility. She enjoys helping her patients reach their oral health goals. Her easy-going personality and caring demeanor help make patients feel at ease during their appointments.  

Kelsey resides in Kennebunk with her husband, son and 2 goldendoodles. In her free time, she enjoys going to her family’s beach house in Ocean Park. Kelsey and her family spend a lot of time outside tending to their gardens and taking care of all their farm animals.

Lauren

Registered Dental Hygienist

Lauren graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene (Cum Laude honors) in 2016. She started her dental hygiene career with Dr. Wyman in May 2017 and has been at the office ever since. Lauren enjoys helping her patients feel at ease in the dental chair, while also forming friendships and making them laugh.

Lauren was born and still currently resides in Biddeford. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, hanging out with family, friends, and her dog.

Tessa

Registered Dental Hygienist

Tessa graduated Cum Laude from the University of New England’s Dental Hygiene program in 2012. In 2019, she became licensed to give local anesthesia through Middlesex Community College. She enjoys meeting people in the community through Mousam River Dentistry. Tessa is originally from Farmington, Maine but now resides in Sanford with her husband and two kids.

When she is not wrangling her two small children or cleaning teeth, she enjoys yoga, skiing, reading and hiking.

Isabelle

Lead Dental Assistant / EFDA

Isabelle is from Tennessee, but has lived in southern Maine for 15 years. She studied at the University of Maine in Orono and joined us in the dental field in 2021. Isabelle holds her certified dental assisting (CDA) credentials and recently completed her expanded function dental assisting (EFDA) credentials. She is our Lead Assistant and is excited to join such a rewarding profession in providing care to the community.

She currently lives in South Berwick with her husband Nick and their pet lizard (Lulu) and dog (Leo). In her free time she enjoys taking care of her many plants, surfing, golfing, and spending time with her loved ones and animals.

Marion

Dental Assistant

Marion has been in the dental field for over 40 years. She moved to the US in 2001 from Germany. She is a highly trained registered dental assistant. She stays current with continuing dental education classes - a commitment she takes seriously to helping patients maintain their dental health. Patients appreciate her professional and compassionate bedside manner. Marion enjoys traveling, hiking and reading in her free time. Marion resides in Wells with her husband and their 2 white cats. Marion has three grown children and one granddaughter, who is the light of her life.

Sydney M.

Dental Assistant

Sydney M, born and raised in Portland, ME, graduated with an Associates Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in December of 2023. She has recently joined the dental field as an assistant and expresses future interest in dental hygiene.

She currently resides in Kennebunk with her family and cat (Buddha). Outside of work, Sydney enjoys working out, spending time with friends, rock climbing, reading and art.

Krissy

Practice Administrator

Krissy was born and raised in Saco, Maine. She has a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern Maine and a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications from West Texas A&M University. Krissy brings an array of experience in marketing, advertising, and business development to the practice.

Aside from her passion for horses, she also enjoys playing pickleball, hiking New England’s highest peaks, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their black lab, Denali.
